Red, White, and Blue Strawberries for You
I realize that this post is probably a day late and a few strawberries short, but as Wilbur2020 pointed out the other day, you might still be able to use it for Bastille Day. I was going to post it yesterday, but with all the excitement of the holiday, time sort of ran away from me, so…
This idea has been plastered all over the boards for weeks now. The photo on Pinterest looks like this:
They were very easy to make. Basically, you use strawberries, some Wilton white chocolate candy melts and blue sprinkles, and you too can make the patriotic magic happen.
They look great, but honestly, the sprinkles were a little much. SWEET, though with a little blue metallic tang, plus the sugar was slow to melt on the tongue. I was glad that I left some without sprinkles, because they were the ones that my guests liked best.
Then I had some white chocolate left over, so I dipped these pretzels too. I was surprised how hard it was to completely cover the pretzels. My hat’s off to those Ghiardelli folks and any other would-be Wonkas out there.
Anyway, I know it’s a few days early, but in case I forget to mention it, Joyeux Quatorze Juliette, Yo.
Wilton has a dipping fork that makes it easy to dip pretzels. I use 2 wooden skewers to fish them out of the coating. Thanks for sharing your pictures. The fruit looks wonderful
Thanks for the tip! I will look for those the next time I am at Michael’s. Given that the kids liked these pretzels so much, I think I will try making them again in the future, perhaps even trying my hand at some of the gourmet ones available in confection shops.
Dark chocolates and milk chocolates are the best. .

Agreed…though they wouldn’t really work for this idea.
