Cake Mix White Chocolate Chip Cookies. Too easy, Too Delicious.
I had some white chocolate chips sitting in the pantry, so I went looking on the boards for something to do with them. I had this idea about a chocolate cookie, with the white chocolate chips, so when I came across a recipe for using devil’s food cake mix in the batter, I had to try it. The photo on Pinterest looks like this:
- 1 box devils food cake mix
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup ugar
- mix first four ingredients together.
- use small cookie scoop and shape into balls
- place sugar on a small plate and roll the balls in it before flattening them on a cookie sheet.
- BAKE: 350
- TIME: 10 minutes

They couldn’t be that easy, right? So, I got the ingredients together.
First I put the first four things in the bowl,
and then I mixed them like I was making a cake. After they were all incorporated, I added the white chocolate chips. I didn’t measure though. A half cup seemed kind of skimpy, so I used half of the bag.
When they were all mixed in, I tried to make the dough balls, but the batter was too sticky.
So I put it in the freezer for about a half hour to stiffen it up, and that worked great. The batter was still a little messy to work with, but I could work with it, and that was the most important thing.
The balls were then rolled in the sugar, and I found that flattening them while they were still on the sugar worked best.
Then I could flip them over to re-cover the tops in sugar. Otherwise, the sugar just got lost in the batter, and the cookies didn’t turn out as pretty.
The cookies baked for ten minutes at 350 degrees.
Dang, they were tasty, and very pretty as well. They look like I spent a lot more time on them, and they were the easiest things ever.
