What’s this about?

Honesty is what I am trying to achieve here, no matter how mundane that gets. I just want to let it all hang while maintaining the pristine integrity of the blogosphere. So, what can I tell you about me…I’m a motherless SAHM to three kids, two boys and a girl. I’m working on an endlessly nascent novel. I have been known to teach (Language Arts and Writing) to middle schoolers when those opportunities have come my way. I am allergic to only one thing, and that’s social bologna, which seems to effect me on a cellular level. I am fairly inept when it comes to today’s technology, though in another life,  I fancied myself quite expert at hooking up the components of my hi-fi stereo system, which had speakers the size of end tables.

I’ve always loved movies, even worked in a video store while I was finishing college. Sometimes my mind wanders to places, and it seems like almost everything in life reminds me of a scene in a movie.

I like to bake, and as a mom, I generally cook five nights a week. We’re the kind of family that sits down to dinner every night together. There’s no TV on during that time, and electronics are banned from the table. It’s our time to talk about our days and be together. Sometimes they like the things I cook, sometimes, not so much. You can’t please all of the people all of the time. Sometimes I leave thoughts about life and being a mom on my other blog Egghead23’s World, if you are interested in that kind of stuff.

I can be crafty, but I’m not Martha-Stewart-crafty. If I’ve made it, there is usually some tell-tale evidence that you don’t need to be David Caruso to find.

I have recently found Pinterest to be just another of the many Time Burglars that steal the days away, so I thought I would try to do something constructive with it. We’ll see if that turns out to be the case.

Thanks for stopping by!

Even if I lived on the sun, I would continue to eschew iced coffee.
