DIY Santa Ornament
I like to make my own Christmas ornaments. Last year I made these, in honor of Edison’s obsession with Harry Potter.

These were really easy. I just tore up pieces of tissue paper and sorted them into Hogwarts House Colors.

This one was a bit trickier because the kids wouldn’t give me any of their mini-figs, so I had to buy my own.
The one on that I found recently Pinterest is a little more elaborate than the one I made. In fact, it looks like this:
Super cute, but I decided to paint mine instead of using ribbon and a soda tab. First I started with a clear glass ornament from the craft store.
Then, I outlined a strip using masking tape, and painted that strip black with acrylic craft paint.
After it had dried,
I used some silver acrylic to paint on the belt buckle.
Then I got some red paper fill, like the kind you might use in a gift basket,
and filled the ball with it. Very easy.
Ho! Ho! Ho!
Super cute!!
Thanks! Did you post your wreath on your blog?
Just got it done! 🙂 http://livingmadehealthy.com/2012/12/12/its-beginning-to-look-a-lot-like-christmas/
I made a few of these for co-workers (one of which is a “santa” – perfect!) but instead of painting on the belt I used black electric paint. The electric tape is perfect as a belt! I did use puffy paint for the buckle. I also cut strips of paper and curled them around a toothpick. This was the page I first saw pinned: http://www.acraftyb.com/2010/11/santas-belly-ornaments.html
Those are really cute! Thanks for sharing.
