DIY Homemade Coconut Orange Sugar Scrub
It’s a great time of year for sugar scrubs, which can exfoliate all of that dead winter skin and leave you feeling fresh and clean. There are all kinds of recipes for sugar scrubs on the Pinterest boards. A few of them look like this:
I took a few notes and decided to work with some of the items I had around the house to concoct this recipe:
- 1/2 cup Sugar in the Raw
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 2 TBSP Epsom Salt
- 1/4 tsp Vitamin E oil (optional)
- 6 drops orange oil
In a large bowl, I placed the sugar.
Next, I got the coconut oil, and melted it in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
First I added the vitamin E oil and the orange oil.
Then I combined the epsom salt and coconut oil to make the scrub.
It smells really great. All you have to do is rub it on your feet or hands and then rinse for a clean soft feeling.

I’m wondering how long these are good? How long do they last?
I’m not sure how long it lasts. I would think it would be good for several months since there are really no perishable ingredients. Good luck!
