Pinheads Revisited – Annual Time Capsule

A couple of years ago, our family started this tradition where we open the family memory jar on New Year’s Eve. It has become a tradition that we all look forward to, and it’s a great way to look back on the good things that happened (especially when some years may be mixed with sadness).

All year long, I squirrel things away into the jar, and then at the end of dinner on December 31st, we open the jar together.

I fill it with programs and tickets, and little notes about funny things people said or did. We have lots of laughs about the memories, and it’s a real family bonding moment. Happy New Year, everyone.
